Deployable Energy
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is currently engaged in pre- application activities with Deployable Energy, regarding siting, construction, and operation of the Unity Nuclear Batter (UNB). UNB is a 1 MWe gas cooled microreactor designed for scalable modular deployment in remote, distributed, or behind-the-meter energy applications in the United States. The reactor utilizes standard low enriched uranium, uranium dioxide fuel and an actively cooled helium primary loop during operation. The UNB prioritizes inherent safety, operability, and transportability in a small package.
